What a week it’s been at the AXA Open de Sion 2025! From the very first serve to the final trophy lift, this year’s tournament brought together thrilling matches, homegrown heroes and an electric atmosphere at the TC Valère.
Unforgettable Matches & Top Seeds on Fire
The singles draw was a showcase of consistency and quality, with all four top seeds powering their way into the semi-finals—a true testament to the strength of the field. The final saw Swiss favorite Remy Bertola face off against Germany’s Patrick Zahraj. After a nail-biting first set tiebreak, Bertola edged ahead and claimed victory but not before both players delivered a championship-worthy battle cheered on by a passionate crowd.

Swiss Success in Doubles
Local fans had plenty to celebrate as the Swiss duo of Andrin Casanova and Nicolas Parizzia stormed to the doubles title. Their teamwork, energy and resilience throughout the week captured the spirit of the tournament and gave the home crowd a trophy to remember.

Weather Challenges & True Teamwork
The week wasn’t without its challenges, as rain delayed play and tested the resolve of players, fans and organizers alike. Thanks to the tireless work of the TC Valère and tournament staff, the clay courts were always match-ready and the schedule stayed on track, earning praise from tournament director Yves Allégro.
A Community Celebration
Beyond the results, the AXA Open de Sion 2025 was a true celebration of tennis culture in Valais. From the energy in the stands to the dedication on court, this event brought together players, fans, volunteers and partners for an unforgettable week.
